What is the ACEM-DVR training quality label?
One of the main challenges motorcyclists face is to find the best options between the thousands of voluntary post-license training schemes available on the European market.
To address this challenge, DVR and ACEM have joined forces to start promoting high-quality post license training schemes across the European Union through ACEM-DVR’s quality seal.
The ACEM-DVR quality seal is a label that helps riders to clearly and easily identify high-quality post-license training programmes.
This voluntary certification procedure is open to a wide range of organisations based in Europe, including training schools, motorcycle manufacturers and public authorities, among others.
Why is post-license training important?
Existing research identifies human behaviour as the most important accident causation factor. Therefore, appropriate training is key to prevent road accidents.
Voluntary post-license training increases riders safety awareness, as well as their hazard perception skills.
Post-license training is recommended for people who are upgrading to a more powerful vehicle or returning to riding after an extended period of time.
In addition to receiving training before passing their license tests, motorcyclists should be encouraged to undertake high-quality voluntary post-license training.
