The ACEM Secretariat is pleased to announce that Thomas Vercammen has been appointed as ACEM’s Technical Officer.

A Belgian automotive engineer with experience in engine emissions development and vehicle regulations and homologation, fluent in 5 languages, Thomas combines a breadth of professional EU affairs and diverse public affairs experience across Europe.

His field of expertise lies in homologation and regulation for both Powered Two-Wheelers and cars. Thomas furthermore specialises in combustion engine emissions development for small and large bore engines. His main task will be providing support to ACEM Members in relation to the developments of the new EU Regulation for L category vehicles.

Before joining ACEM Thomas worked for ACEM member Honda Motor Europe as Regulation expert  for motorcycles and cars, covering follow-up, analysis, identification, reporting and advocacy work on EU policies.  He’ll therefore  strengthen the representation of ACEM interests in technical and type-approval discussions at EU and at UN/ECE level, where he will be following developments within WP29.

ACEM welcomed Thomas into its staff as from November, looking forward to his valuable contribution to its activities.
