ACEM position paper on EU-South Korea free trade negotiations

The motorcycle industry in Europe strongly supports further regulatory convergence, the simplification of administrative procedures and the gradual elimination of duties between the EU and South Korea. This would bring substantial benefits to companies and consumers in both regions.

There are currently about 1.75 million motorcycles in use in South Korea. Unfortunately, the South Korean government imposes significant barriers to the import and usage of large displacement powered-two wheelers, which negatively affects consumers and exports to the country.
