For 20 years, the End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV) Directive has considerably improved the way in which cars are dismantled, recycled and disposed of. In the context of the current evaluation of the Directive by the European Commission, ACEM is actively promoting the inclusion of L-category vehicles in the scope of a future version of the Directive, in order to contribute to achieving circular economy goals, in line with the objectives of the European Commission’s recent communication on the European Green Deal.
